Professor John M. Jermier teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in organizational behavior and theory, corporate environmentalism and environmental policy, and measuring organizational performance and transformation in the School of Information Systems and Management. In the Patel College of Global Sustainability, he teaches sustainable enterprise research as well.
The "greening" of companies, critical management studies, environmental sustainability, and qualitative and quantitative approaches for organizational research are the main areas of Jermier's present research. "Theoretical perspectives on organizations and organizing in a post-growth era" is his most recent publication (Organization, 2020). Jermier has been on the editorial review boards of several of the leading journals in the area and has written or co-written a large number of articles, book chapters, books, research monographs, and other scholarly publications. He co-founded and previously served as co-editor of the prestigious journal Organization & Environment.
He graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a bachelor's degree and The Ohio State University with an MBA, PhD, and master's degree.
