Under the guidance of Professor Kai Hwang, Yu Chen obtained his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California in 2006. He was a research assistant at Professor Anthony F. J. Levi's Advanced Interconnection and Network Technology Lab before joining Professor Hwang's group. The NSF, DoD, AFOSR, AFRL, New York State, and business partners have all contributed to his study. As a member of ACM, IEEE (Computer & Communication Societies), and SPIE, he has written or co-written over ninety scientific articles that have been published in conferences, peer-reviewed journals, and book chapters.
